Ingredients:
- blue plums – 500 g;
- water – 500 g;
- ground cinnamon – 1/3 tsp;
- sugar – 150 g;
- Carnations – 2-3 buds.
How to make spiced plums with cinnamon
Sterilize glass jars in advance using your preferred method. This can be done over steam, in the microwave, or in the oven—whatever is most convenient and familiar to you.
Place washed blue plums in a prepared container and fill to the top, filling as much space as possible.
Boil water and pour it over the plums in the jar, let it sit covered for 15 minutes until the berries release their juice.
Drain the liquid. It's already colored by the plums, and has a bright hue.
Bring the marinade to a boil, add sugar to make a sweet syrup.
Add spices such as cinnamon and cloves to the marinade. The seasonings will marinate the plums and give them a tangy flavor.
Stir, simmer for 2-3 minutes, and the dressing is ready. It smells delicious.
Pour the spicy marinade over the plums.
Roll up the plums and you're done. Store the preserves in a cool, dark place; they'll make the perfect dessert this winter. Enjoy!
