You don't need to spend money on materials or supplies, as these crafts can be made using unwanted materials, furniture, and tools that have been lying around unused for a long time. You can decorate your beloved garden beautifully and affordably. Photos of these materials and, of course, descriptions of the ideas illustrate this.

Wooden path

Of course, in the garden and vegetable garden there is always many paths, so why not make them even more decorative, using design as the basis for beauty? The photo itself shows how incredibly beautiful it looks! No additional materials are needed; all you need are ordinary wooden planks. You'll also need a shovel, hammer, tape measure and saw, rake, and sand. You can paint and varnish these paths if desired (this will increase their lifespan and visually enhance the paths).

You'll need a lot of scrap wood, so you can borrow some from your neighbors. The process begins with repairing the shallow path where the boards will be laid. Level the path inside, then insert the boards. Even without additional treatment, the path will serve faithfully for several years. If you paint and varnish the boards beforehand, their lifespan will at least double.

Advice! For added decorativeness and originality, the path can be covered with a thin layer of sand or gravel. Be sure to compact the soil or sand into the spaces between the boards.

Flower vases made from jars

It's impossible to imagine DIY gardening ideas made from scrap materials and unwanted items without this craft. You'll need tin cans, preferably large ones, and a clothesline. You'll also need a hammer, nails, and paint. Poke a few holes in each can, and a couple more on the sides. Thread the cans onto the rope, then tie a corner at each end.

Now stretch the rope over a fence, bushes, or even the outside wall of the house. Note that you can paint, varnish, or decorate the jars beforehand, as desired. Plant flowering, ornamental, or climbing plants in the jars.

From plastic bottles

To create these crafts, you'll need empty plastic bottles and scissors, plastic bottle caps, hot glue, and googly eyes (if you don't have any on hand, you can use a marker). These handy garden crafts are perfect for making with kids—they make fabulous flower pots.

Cut the bottom off a large plastic bottle and glue on eyes and a nose (use a plastic cork for the nose). Poke holes in the bottom to allow water to drain freely after planting and when watering.

Tree felling

Landscape designers This idea has been around for a long time, and these flowerbeds look incredibly expensive and beautiful, although you can make them yourself. You'll need to find dead tree trunks and make a hole inside (using a hammer and chisel). Now fill the resulting space with soil and plant flowers.

Advice! Interesting flowerbeds can be created using the same principle in an old leaky boat, a wooden wheelbarrow, or even an old bowl, saucepan, or teapot. Some even use old rubber boots (if they're black, paint them) to create decorative flowerbeds that look absolutely stunning in their garden.

A path of stones

Interesting DIY ideas for your dacha can be created using stones. For example, garden design often calls for unique paths. At the very beginning of this article, we discussed making them out of wood. But look at the photos – beautiful paths can also be made from stones.

To do this, you'll need a special fabric used in garden design to prevent paths from deforming quickly due to moisture ("agrotextile"). You'll also need a shovel, rake, sand and gravel, boards, a mallet, and, of course, the stones themselves. As with woodworking, first dig a shallow trench, no more than 10 cm deep (see photo). This will be where the path will be located.

Advice! You can also place boards along the sides to serve as borders. However, this is not necessary, and if time is short, you can start building the ditch right away.

The visual design doesn't begin yet, because the practical part needs to be considered. Line the trench with fabric, then add a 3 cm layer of sand. Top with gravel and distribute it evenly over the surface. Now lay the stones. If you don't have any stones handy, the design will also look beautiful using bricks or even fragments of old tiles. To ensure the stones are secure, use a rubber mallet. Fill any gaps with soil.

Support for climbing plants

The photo shows the design of areas with such supports, which looks especially luxurious. Such a support can be placed against a fence or wall, especially if there's limited space for flowers in the area but you want everything to be fragrant and blooming all season long.

To create this project, you'll need tall branches, twine, and scissors. Lay the branches out on the ground, spacing them evenly. Tie the remaining branches to opposite ends with twine. When finished, tie the twine, tighten the knot on one end, and extend it to the next branch. Repeat this process with all the materials. All that's left to do is lean the completed support against a wall or fence and plant the plants, which will vigorously climb up the twine, as seen in the featured photos in this article. Designs with such supports look incredibly impressive.

For a garden made from scrap materials there are many things you can dothat will delight the eye. Look at the photos to see how incredible, interesting, and beautiful such creations can be. Garden design requires viewing a large number of photos to accurately and confidently decide on what you want to create for yourself.
