- granulated sugar – 700 g.
Making delicious apple and plum jam
Wash the apples and plums. Halve the apples, remove the cores, and then cut the fruit into random pieces. You don't need to peel the skins, as they will overcook during cooking.
Take plums that are firm and plump. Remove the pits and place them in a bowl along with the sliced apples.
Sprinkle 700 grams of granulated sugar on top.
And leave it alone for 2-3 hours so that the fruit releases liquid.
Next, begin cooking the jam. Bring the fruit to a boil over medium heat. Once it's done and soft, remove the jam from the heat.
Now take a blender and puree the apples and plums. Then, begin to simmer the jam again until it reaches the desired consistency.
For best results, cover the container with a lid, but leave a small gap to allow hot air to escape. Remember to stir the jam periodically to prevent it from burning to the bottom of the pan. When the jam has thickened sufficiently, pour it into clean, dry jars and seal with lids.
Excellent jam made from ripe apples and plums for the winter is ready.
