Zucchini in bags

Zucchini

Zucchini in bagsZucchini are large plants and take up a lot of space in the garden. In this article, I'll tell you how to save space while still growing large, delicious zucchini.

To do this, you'll need large bags of sugar or flour and various organic waste. Examples include grass clippings, weeds, plant debris, and leaves, excluding tree branches.

Now, let's begin creating this unusual gardening bag. Place organic waste in a bag with a capacity of at least 120 liters. Then, add garden soil and a layer of sawdust to keep the fruit clean and speed up the heat transfer process. Poke several small holes in the bottom of the bag to prevent water from stagnating.

Once the bag is ready, you can begin planting the zucchini seedlings or seeds. Water them generously and, if it's cool outside, cover them with a plastic bottle cut in half with the neck open. After planting, continue with the usual care, feeding, and watering.

This bag is very practical. You can place it anywhere: in the garden beds, in the grass, near greenhouses. I prefer well-lit areas, as this determines how quickly the fruit ripens and tastes. Zucchini grows much faster in the bag. Why? Because the plant roots benefit from the heat generated by rotting organic matter. Furthermore, the fruit lies on top of the bag, not touching the ground, guaranteeing beautiful, high-quality fruit without any defects. By fall, the plant debris will have rotted, creating a kind of compost bag, which can then be spread over the garden beds.
