A proven method for good germination of sweet pepper seedlings
Sometimes it's not worth reinventing the wheel. This is because traditional seed-planting methods can sometimes be many times more effective than modern ones.
To ensure 100% germination of sweet pepper seeds, soaking them in water isn't necessary. Following these steps will suffice.
A step-by-step guide to planting pepper seedlings.
Step 1. You'll need soil saved from the fall or purchased soil in pre-packaged bags. You'll also need seed packets and planting trays. If desired, you can use rubber gloves and a special gardening tool—a trowel for indoor plants.

Step 2. Fill the container with soil (slightly less than half the container's capacity, as you'll need to add soil under the roots of the seedlings over time to strengthen them). Store-bought soil is usually moist and already contains fertilizer, which is good for future germination.

Step #3: Make furrows by hand or using garden tools.

Tip: If your home has small windowsills or limited space, you can make the furrows closer together or sow the seeds more densely. However, in these cases, be sure to transplant the peppers once they have two or three leaves to ensure their stems are strong.
Step #4: Distribute pepper seeds in each row (if the soil is dry, it is recommended to water from a spray bottle deep into each furrow).

Tape the empty bags to the box to avoid mixing up the pepper varieties.

Step 5. Lightly cover the seeds with soil, water with warm water, and cover the container with plastic wrap. In a week or two, sweet pepper seedlings will appear.

Note: Don't delay planting seedlings - the best time is the end of February (although this also depends on the region, read also When to sow pepper seedlings), since the seeds, unlike tomatoes, take longer to germinate.
Have a good harvest!
