Description and characteristics of the Breeze potato

This is a mid-early variety. Harvesting can begin 80 days after planting. The yield is high, reaching 600 c/ha.

The tubers are oval-shaped, have smooth skin, and numerous small eyes. They weigh approximately 120 grams.

The bush is small in size, the leaves are wide, the flowers are red-violet in color.

The main symptom of late blight is the appearance of black and dark brown spots on shoots. To get rid of the disease, follow these steps:

  • take 200 grams of garlic and chop it;
  • add a little water, leave for 2 days;
  • pour the resulting mass into a bucket of water and pour it over the potatoes;
  • The procedure should be performed twice every 10 days.

If crops are infected with scab, the tubers lose their flavor. You can protect crops with fertilizers such as ammonium sulfate and superphosphate.

Drugs such as Acrobat and Ridomil also help to get rid of diseases.

The Colorado potato beetle is the most dangerous potato pest. Onion peels can be used to control the pest. They should be sprinkled into the planting holes. Experienced gardeners also plant mustard, calendula, and beans between the rows. These crops repel the pests.

To protect potatoes from flea beetles, wireworms, and Colorado potato beetles, the seedlings must be thoroughly treated before planting. Tabu can be used for this purpose.

Harvesting and storage
