It is advisable to follow the following planting pattern:

  • the depth of the holes is up to 10 centimeters;
  • the distance between tubers is 30-40 centimeters;
  • the distance between the beds is 50-60 centimeters.
Following the correct planting scheme is essential, as there must be enough space for growing potatoes.

When growing potatoes, it's best to avoid using fresh manure, as it can cause tuber diseases. However, gardeners recommend using certain fertilizers to support potato growth.

  1. Compost and wood ash are ideal fertilizers. If potatoes are grown in acidic soil, lime and dolomite are added.
  2. To improve yield, add 100-200 grams of peat, a tablespoon of ash, and a teaspoon of superphosphate to each hole during planting, as this classic fertilizer is considered one of the best.
  3. At the beginning of growth, also use the following fertilizer: 10 liters of water, a tablespoon of urea and a couple of tablespoons of any universal fertilizer.
  4. When forming potato buds, potassium sulfate diluted with ash is suitable.
  5. The third feeding occurs during the flowering period. A solution of superphosphate and nitrophoska is used. Each bush requires 500 milliliters to a liter.

Gardeners note that fertilizers are essential for the Zorachka variety, as many things depend on them.

Advice! The 'Zorachka' variety thrives in light, loamy soil with neutral pH, but regular watering is essential due to its particular vulnerability to drought. Moderate watering is recommended, followed by loosening the soil. Do not water the potatoes until the seedlings emerge.
