It's a great thirst quencher and is perfect even for a festive feast. Generally, compotes are very easy and quick to prepare and don't require any special culinary skills. So if you're just starting out, learn to preserve these simple drinks first.
This grape-apple compote will leave no one indifferent. Its signature flavor is the addition of spicy cinnamon. The combination of juicy apples, grapes, and cinnamon is simply indescribable. If the compote is too sweet or concentrated, it can easily be diluted with cool, boiled drinking water.

How to make grape and apple compote
The first question you might have is, "Which grapes are best for this drink?" You can use any, but in this recipe, we're making compote from blue grapes. The same goes for apples—any kind will do, but juicy, sweet-and-tart ones are best. Wash the fruit and sort through the grape stems. There shouldn't be any rotten or damaged berries floating in the compote.
Then we separate the grapes from the branches and place them in a sterile, dry jar. Cut the apple into large wedges, removing the core, and add them to the grapes.
Pour boiling water into the jar to cover the fruit and leave it for 15 minutes.
Now drain the water into a saucepan, add sugar, ground cinnamon and a little citric acid to ensure the drink is well preserved.
Bring everything to a boil and stir. Pour this syrup into a jar and seal.
We leave the preserves upside down for 24 hours, and then hide them in a pantry or basement.
