Raspberries in their own juice without sugar
Today we'll prepare raspberries in their own juice for the winter, without sugar or other additives. They will keep perfectly for a long time in the refrigerator, on the bottom shelf. The raspberries are slightly tart, without that cloyingly sweet syrup. They're especially appealing to children and those watching their weight and diet. Raspberries can be eaten with a spoon, used to prevent colds, or used in baked goods and desserts.
Ingredients:
- raspberries – 600 g.
How to preserve raspberries in their own juice
Prepare the raspberries – sort through them and check that the berries are whole, not spoiled, and not crushed.
Afterwards, you can soak the raspberries in a saline solution: dissolve a little salt in cool water and pour it over the berries, leaving them for 10 minutes. Then, rinse the raspberries carefully.
Wash the jar thoroughly with baking soda, rinse, and boil the lid in boiling water for 10 minutes. Sterilize the jar using your preferred method—steam or oven. Fill the jar with raspberries.
After sending the raspberries for sterilization, do not forget to line the bottom of the pan with a piece of cloth.
After 25 minutes of boiling, remove the pan from the heat. The raspberries will have released their juices, which is exactly what we need.
Roll up the raspberries with a sterile lid, turn them upside down, wrap them in a blanket, and leave for 24 hours. After this time, store the raspberries in the refrigerator or cellar.
Bon appétit!
