Raspberry and apple compote with peaches - the taste is amazing
In ancient times, compote was prepared for one purpose only: to preserve fruits and berries. Only over time did people realize that the drink could cool in the summer heat and nourish with vitamins in the freezing winter.
Although fruits and berries are now available year-round in unlimited quantities, every housewife understands that such ingredients are best used in the summer, so many continue to preserve compotes for the winter.
Of course, compotes can be made with a wide variety of fruit and berry combinations – they can feature a single main ingredient or several. One of the most interesting flavor combinations is compote made with raspberries, apples, and peaches. Each of these ingredients imparts a distinctive flavor. Raspberries are the most striking sign of summer; their rich aroma brightens the cold winter weather. Peaches add a special note to the flavor. Apples impart a unique tartness, so their selection should be carefully chosen based on your preferences.
The amount of fruit you add to the pot also depends on your preference: using less will result in a softer and more delicate flavor, while using more will result in a richer compote. Our step-by-step recipe with photos is based on the ingredients for a 3-liter jar, but you can adjust the proportions to suit your taste.
