How to Make Apple Pie Filling

Wash the apples, remove the cores and seeds, and cut into medium-sized cubes. After cooking, the apples will retain their shape and remain practically intact. The filling will be delicious.

Cover the apples with sugar and stir, leave for a couple of hours so that the sugar crystals melt and the apples become juicier.

sprinkle apples with sugar

Simmer the apple filling for 20 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally to prevent the apples from burning. Don't stir frequently, otherwise the apples will turn to mush. As they cook, the filling will turn golden, almost translucent, and beautiful. The apples will be soaked in the sugar syrup.

simmer the filling

Place the hot filling into clean, pre-sterilized jars and fill to the top.

put into jars

Seal the jars with lids and let them cool, covering them with a warm blanket. Store the mixture in a dark pantry or basement away from direct sunlight. Store the apple filling until winter. Delicious pies are guaranteed. This filling works with any dough—puff pastry, yeast, or kefir. You can bake the pies in the oven or fry them in a pan. Enjoy!
