Growing and care

'Jupiter' is a mid-season plant, so you should start planting seeds for seedlings as early as late February or early March. Sprouts appear within a week, and after 65 days, the seedlings can be transplanted to their permanent location. Pricking out the pepper is optional, as it delays seedling development by 14 days. If you don't prune the plants, space the seeds at least 10 cm apart when planting.

Pepper is very heat-loving, the optimal temperature for it during the day is considered to be 24-28 degrees, and at night 18-20. At a temperature of 00 The plant dies. When planting outdoors as early as May, it's recommended to cover the plant with agrofibre, as it can still be cool at night. Alternatively, you can create a small portable greenhouse and use it until the danger of frost has passed. Plant the plant in a 50x40 pattern. Planting location is important; it's best to plant peppers where onions, cucumbers, or cabbage were previously grown.

Advice: To strengthen the root system, it is essential to loosen the soil.

Responds well to phosphate-potassium fertilizers. The optimal time to water seedlings is in the morning, preferably with warm water, applying it to the roots. In warm temperatures, water the plant more frequently.

If dry leaves appear on a pepper plant, this could indicate a nutrient deficiency in the soil, unfavorable weather conditions, or even disease. During the fruiting stage, peppers require additional feeding. This can be done with a 1:10 solution of bird droppings or a 1:5 solution of cow manure and water. After fertilizing, the plant should be watered and the soil loosened.

The Jupiter variety is easy to store and transport, maintaining its marketable appearance. It has natural immunity to potato and tobacco mosaic.

Important! If watering is irregular during the fruiting period, cracks may appear on the pepper.

A month before the end of the growing season, it is recommended to pinch out new ovaries and shoots to allow the already formed fruits to ripen. The harvest is harvested at the stage of technical maturity.

Reviews

Maria, 50 years old, Krasnodar Krai

I've been growing this variety for three years now, and I've never regretted it. The fruits grow large and fleshy. They have an excellent taste—sweet and juicy. The whole family loves them. I preserve them for the winter, simply chop them finely and put them in the freezer to add to various dishes later, or I freeze them whole and then stuff them. They also make a delicious lecho (sweet pepper sauce)—thick and flavorful. And the adjika is simply delicious! I recommend growing this variety to anyone who loves sweet peppers!

Anatoly, 63 years old, Taganrog

"Jupiter" is the most excellent variety I've ever planted. The fruits are sweet and fleshy, with no bitterness at all. They add a special flavor to borscht and soups. My wife freezes them for the winter and preserves them in tomato juice and slices. This is my second year planting them, and I plan to grow them again next year.

Anastasia, 30, Novocherkassk

A neighbor at my dacha gave me some peppercorns, and I really liked the taste, so I decided to plant some myself. Next season, I bought seedlings, and the harvest was simply magnificent, the fruits beautiful. I'm very happy!

Conclusion

'Jupiter' produces a good harvest, and the pepper is versatile, which is probably why housewives prefer to plant this variety in their gardens.
