Ingredients for the salad:
- tomatoes – 5 pcs.;
- cucumbers – 2 pcs.;
- sweet pepper – 1 pc.;
- salt – to taste;
- dill - to taste;
- ground black pepper – to taste.
Preparing a cucumber and tomato salad
Wash the ingredients. Remove the seeds and stem from the bell pepper, then cut into thin strips.
We cut off the tips of the cucumbers and cut the fruits into thin circles.
Cut the tomatoes into large slices, don’t forget to remove the green core.
Finely chop the herbs. You can use parsley or any other herb instead of dill.
Combine the vegetables in one bowl, add table salt and ground pepper.
Mix the salad thoroughly and place it into sterile jars.
It's best to use small containers. Fill the jars tightly with the salad. Pour the juices that have been released from the vegetables into the jars as well. Now, sterilize the jars. To do this, line the bottom of a suitable container with a thick kitchen towel, place the salad in it, and add enough water to cover the jars, up to the bend.
Then simmer everything for half an hour over low heat. Once the salad is sterilized, seal the jars with lids. Our flavorful salad is ready. Store the jars in the cellar once they've cooled completely, wrapped and upside down. This vegetable salad will keep for a long time in a cool pantry away from direct sunlight.
