Delicious Kuban salad, the best recipe for winter
Today I suggest you prepare a "Kuban" cabbage salad for the winter. The recipe is very simple and accessible, and everyone should love the result. The salad is prepared from a whole range of juicy summer vegetables, which is what gives it such a luxurious result.
It seems so simple, but that's exactly what many home cooks want. Why waste a ton of time on preparations? These days, many recipes can be whipped up in half an hour, so let's get started, because ours falls into that category.
In winter, you can serve this salad with any porridge, potatoes, meat, etc.
Ingredients:
- tomatoes – 0.5 kg,
- cabbage – 0.5 kg,
- cucumbers – 0.5 kg,
- sweet pepper – 0.5 kg,
- onion – 250 g,
- carrots – 250 g,
- salt – 0.5 tbsp,
- sugar – 60 g,
- vinegar 9% - 60 ml,
- vegetable oil – 120 ml.
How to make Kuban cabbage salad
Select firm, undamaged cabbage. Remove the outer leaves. Shred the cabbage into strips or julienne strips—whichever is more convenient for you. Place the shredded cabbage in a bowl or directly into the saucepan.
Wash and dry the tomatoes, cutting out the stems. Cut the tomatoes into random wedges and add to the cabbage.

Wash and dry the cucumbers, trimming both ends. Slice the cucumbers into rounds. Check the cucumbers for bitterness beforehand; you can also soak them in cold water.
Peel, rinse, and dry the carrots and onions. Grate the carrots on a medium grater, cut the onion into half rings, and add to the vegetables.
Remove the seeds and membranes from the sweet peppers. Cut the peppers into strips and add them to the bowl.
Mix the ingredients and place them in a saucepan. Add vegetable oil, sugar, and salt. Mix everything together and bring to a boil.
Cook the salad for 15 minutes, add the vinegar, stir, and immediately remove from the heat. Divide the salad into sterilized jars.
Immediately seal the jars of Kubansky salad with lids and place them upside down, covered with a blanket. Let the salad cool for 24 hours, then transfer to a cellar or pantry.
