Minute Salad - a killer salad in just a few minutes
I offer you a recipe for a quick, yet delicious "Minute" salad with step-by-step photos.
The salad consists of cheese, tomatoes, croutons, and eggs. Mayonnaise is used for the dressing. If desired, you can substitute sour cream. The taste won't be the same, but the dish will be healthier.
You can use store-bought croutons for the salad or homemade ones, as in my case.
Ingredients:
- crackers – 70 g;
- tomatoes – 2 pcs.;
- boiled eggs – 2 pcs.;
- cheese – 100 g;
- mayonnaise – 80 g;
- salt to taste;
- greenery for decoration.
How to make the Minute salad
Prepare the necessary ingredients for the dish. Hard-boil the eggs. Rinse the tomatoes with cold water.
Cut off the top of the tomatoes, where the stems are attached. Then cut the tomatoes into small cubes.
Peel the eggs and chop them finely using your preferred method. I used a vegetable peeler.
Grate the cheese on a fine grater.
Cover a deep plate or salad bowl with cling film.
We begin assembling the salad in layers. The first layer is half of the grated cheese.
Cover it with a layer of mayonnaise.
Then we put in half of the tomatoes.
We also spread a thin layer of mayonnaise.
The third layer is croutons and mayonnaise. We also set aside half of the portion for now.
The last layer is 1 chopped egg + mayonnaise.
In the same order, layer the salad with the remaining ingredients to the top of the salad bowl.
Then we cover the dish with a flat dish on which the salad will be served.
Carefully turn it upside down.
Decorate the salad as desired. Before serving, let the dish sit in the refrigerator for a while to allow the croutons to soften. Then serve. Enjoy!
