Pumpkin and carrot juice for the winter
Pumpkin juice is a delicious and healthy drink. It's recommended for both children and adults, as it's incredibly beneficial for the body, providing it with beneficial vitamins and minerals, which are especially essential during the cold season.
There are many varieties of pumpkin juice. It can be combined with fruits, berries, and vegetables. One of the most delicious combinations is pumpkin and carrots.
There's a huge selection of these juices on store shelves, but this healthy drink can easily be prepared for the winter at home.
Ingredients:
- pumpkin – 1.5 kg;
- carrots – 1 pc.;
- sugar – 100 g;
- water – 2 l.
How to make pumpkin and carrot juice
Let's prepare all the necessary ingredients. Take a large carrot, or two if small. Wash the carrots thoroughly under running water, peel, and cut into half rings.
Cut the pumpkin in half, remove the seeds, fibers, tough skin and cut into medium-sized pieces.
Take a saucepan and pour pumpkin and carrots into it.
Add a glass of water and sugar, mix well, put on the fire, bring to a boil, put on medium heat and cook for 20-25 minutes, until the pumpkin and carrots are softened.
Using an immersion blender, grind the vegetables until puree-like.
Heat the water, add it to the pan, mix well, put on the fire and boil for 10-15 minutes.
Pour into pre-sterilized jars, seal with sterilized lids, and turn upside down. Leave in a warm place until completely cool, then store in a cool place.
Homemade pumpkin and carrot juice is ready.
