Every gardener sooner or later encounters insect pests on their property. Many parasites are among those who feast on young plants. To save their plants, some resort to using Intavir against Colorado potato beetles, which, according to reviews, is also effective against other dangerous pests.

There are a huge number of products on the market today that guarantee effective pest control, but Intavir is particularly popular. This product has a broad spectrum of action, covering fifty different types of pests that are dangerous to crops.

Description and composition

The main active ingredient is cypermethrin in a low-concentration form. However, this is sufficient to paralyze insects. The product is available in powder form, and tablets are also available.

The product is classified as a pyrethroid, a class of natural insecticides found in a number of crops. Tansy and chamomile contain higher levels of this synthetic compound. It is also found in large quantities in chrysanthemums. Pyrethroids can be considered analogous to pyrethrins. Due to their synthetic nature, they attack the insect's nervous system in seconds. After the slightest contact with the treated crop, the pest begins to suffer convulsions and dies.

1. Typically, gardeners dilute one tablet of the preparation per ten liters of water.
2. It is recommended to treat plants in dry and windless weather.
3. Treatment is mainly carried out early in the morning or in the evening.
4. For the most even application, use a household sprayer.
5. You can use fresh, recently prepared Intavir solution.
6. The remaining solution is disposed of after completion of treatment.

Intavir use in the garden and consumption rates

Effectiveness will be enhanced if there is no precipitation after irrigation, which could wash away the product and reduce its protective effect on crops. For plants such as apple, quince, or pear, treatment should be carried out 10 days after flowering. Repeat spraying after 14 days, if necessary. Using the product on the same plant more than three times during a single growing season is strictly prohibited. This can cause pest tolerance and reduce its effectiveness. Ideally, the product should be alternated with other insecticides.

Some crops are treated before flowering. These include strawberries. For this crop and plants like gooseberries and currants, the dosage should be increased per 10 liters of water. One and a half tablets are used. Cherries should not be sprayed with the product after the fruit has fully ripened. Treatment should be carried out strictly before this period. Use between two and five liters of the prepared product per tree. It has proven effective in killing indoor pests, including fleas and cockroaches.

1. First of all, a gardener needs to ensure he or she has appropriate clothing and protective accessories such as boots and glasses.
2. The use of a respirator is mandatory.
