Potato zrazy with minced meat

If you use homemade ground meat, the potato patties will be even more delicious. When choosing ready-made minced meat, opt for pork and beef combo or lean ground pork.
You can adjust the amount and composition of spices in this step-by-step recipe to suit your taste. This delicious treat is ideal served with sour cream or natural yogurt. If you made extra zrazy, reheat them in the microwave. If you don't have enough ground meat for the filling, you can use sausage or mushrooms.
Ingredients:
- potatoes - 2 large tubers;
- onions - 1 medium head;
- minced meat - 200 grams;
- table salt - to taste;
- chicken eggs - 1 piece;
- wheat flour - 3 tablespoons;
- ground pepper;
- paprika;
- refined vegetable oil - for frying.
How to cook potato zrazy with minced meat
Wash the potatoes thoroughly and boil them until soft. For a richer flavor, add salt, bay leaf, and peppercorns. Once cooked, drain the potatoes and rinse them with cold water to cool them faster. If using leftover mashed potatoes, mash them with a fork.
Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Fry the ground meat in a preheated frying pan. Peel and finely chop the onion. Add it to the lightly fried ground pork and cook until done. Add the spices and salt and stir.
Mash the cooled potatoes until smooth. To make the process easier, use a fork, potato masher, or blender. The key is to break up all the lumps.
Beat in the egg, add pepper and paprika, stir, and season with salt. If the mixture is too runny, add flour and stir again.
Place a spoonful of potato batter into a preheated frying pan. Place the filling inside each flatbread.
Then place another 1 tablespoon of potato mixture on top of the minced meat.
Fry the zrazy over low heat until golden brown. Place them on a paper towel to remove excess fat.
