Precautionary measures

The instructions for using Colorado against the Colorado potato beetle require strict adherence to safety precautions when working with the product, which is classified as toxic to humans and pets.

  1. Do not use food containers used for handling the product. Store them separately and out of reach.
  2. Spraying is best done early in the morning or in the evening, when there is no strong evaporation; choose calm weather.
  3. A small amount of air movement always occurs, so when spraying, you need to choose a position so that the stream of liquid from the sprayer is deflected in the direction opposite to the person doing the work.
  4. Spraying should be done while wearing full-body protective clothing and covering hands with rubber gloves, which should be discarded later. Respiratory protection should be provided with a respirator or mask made of thick fabric.
  5. Clothes worn during work should be washed separately from other clothes; water should not be poured into areas where pets may walk.
  6. Do not spray near apiaries.
  7. Do not carry out work in the presence of children and animals nearby.
  8. While working with the preparation, do not smoke or eat; after finishing, change clothes, wash your hands and face thoroughly with soap, and rinse your mouth.
  9. The ampoules and packaging of the drug must be disposed of in such a way that they do not fall into the hands of animals and children.
