Cabbage cutlets with minced meat - the most delicious option
Cabbage cutlets with minced meat are a delicious dish worth trying. For those who love cutlets, this recipe will help diversify your menu and add something new and unusual. Few people fry meat cutlets with cabbage, but that's a big omission. Even those who don't like cabbage won't notice it, and the finished meat products turn out delicious and juicy.
You can use any ground meat for this recipe: chicken, pork, or a combination of pork and beef. We used chicken breast to make homemade ground meat.
Once you've made cabbage cutlets, you can experiment further and substitute other vegetables: carrots, potatoes, bell peppers, or zucchini. These vegetables can be added fresh, after being grated.
Cabbage cutlets with ground meat are a great option for a family lunch or dinner. Plus, adding vegetables to the ground meat yields twice as many cutlets as if you were making them with just meat, making it a great option for a large family.
The finished cutlets keep well in the refrigerator, and before lunch they can simply be reheated in a frying pan or microwave.
Ingredients:
- chicken fillet – 250 grams;
- white cabbage – 200 grams;
- onion – 1 pc.;
- chicken egg – 1 pc.;
- wheat flour – 100 grams;
- vegetable oil – for frying;
- salt, pepper – to taste.
How to make cabbage cutlets with minced meat
Rinse the chicken fillet and place it on paper towels to remove excess moisture. Then cut it into large cubes and place it in a blender. If you don't have a blender, use a regular hand meat grinder.
Peel and rinse the onion. Chop it into large cubes and add it to the meat in a blender. Grind the onion and chicken to make minced meat. To speed up the process, you can buy store-bought minced chicken, but homemade is certainly tastier.
Dice the white cabbage and blanch for 3-4 minutes. Drain and cool.
Add the softened blanched cabbage to the minced meat and chop thoroughly in a blender.
Add a chicken egg to the prepared minced meat, add salt and pepper to taste. Mix and form into round patties.
Roll the cutlets in flour and place them in a frying pan with heated oil.
Fry on both sides for 15-20 minutes. If the ground meat is pork or pork and beef, rather than chicken, the frying time should be doubled.
Serve the delicious cutlets. Enjoy!
