From plastic bottles
Plastic bottle decorations are still king; they can be used in any number of ways. For example, remove the bottom and neck, cut them into thirds, and dig them in along any perimeter, around a flowerbed or house, then plant small flowers in them. It's beautiful, vibrant, bright, and cozy. You can cut the bottoms higher up and use them like this: place a bottle planter filled with soil anywhere you need a bright spot. You can also place several improvised planters higher up, at different levels. Climbing plants can be planted in them, which, cascading downwards, create a beautiful interior. Or you can lay it on its side, cut holes, plant flowers, and hang it anywhere!
Site planning
First of all, you need to realistically imagine what you'd like to see on your property—it's essential, otherwise you'll end up with chaos and bad taste. Imagine your house as the center of the property, and what you'd like to surround it with—ponds with bridges, unusual flower beds, a gazebo for cozy gatherings with friends, unusual sculptures, benches, paths, and so on. Once you've got the design down in your head, it'll be easier to bring it to life.
Nowadays, many people are turning to natural decor such as dwarf trees, wild grapes, colored glass inserted into wooden fences, lanterns with backlighting around the property, and so on. Designers are placing a special emphasis on vibrant, blooming flowerbeds. This is fertile ground, as flowerbeds can come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, and the number of flowers, their shapes and colors, and the varying heights and luxuriance of the bushes can provide endless fodder for your creative landscaping. Living ideas
If you need to conceal or zone a certain area of your property, you can do this: build supports with crossbars. Plant vines at the base, train them up the supports, and you'll have a living flower wall—beautiful, fenced, and eye-catching.
If you already have a gazebo in your yard, but it's dull and boring, plant some roses or wild grapes there—it'll immediately come to life, becoming cozy, lively, and inviting.
You can make outdoor flower pots like these from willow twigs – don’t they look interesting?
Or make baskets like these from cuts - original, lively, and you've found a way to use tree trimmings in the garden.
Don't overdo it!
You can create truly stunning garden masterpieces using materials found around the house. Just decide on a plan, and you're ready to get started! Just don't try everything at once—fountains and ponds, bridges and benches, lanterns and planters can create chaos and make the area look bland. Approach your ideas creatively and carefully, keeping an eye on how they'll look in the long run. And everything will work out!
Take a closer look at the house
So, you've already sketched out a rough plan, now you need to decide on the types of flowers and other materials to create a unified style. For example, if your house has a rustic style, that's perfect. Wooden benches, paths made from sawn logs, and flowerbed borders made with wooden stakes would perfectly complement it. You could add an old cart, wheelbarrow, chairs, and so on, turning them into flowerbeds and benches that can be decorated with brightly colored paint.
If your house is primarily stone, then the rest of the materials should be similar. Cobblestone paths, fountains lined with natural stone, and so on are all appropriate. Gnomes and frogs are a thing of the past; now it's fashionable to use rocks, driftwood, and other simple natural materials that you can craft yourself to create a beautiful and stylish effect. Smooth stones can be painted in a fun way—like this—to wow your guests:
