How to surprise a child with something tasty and healthy? A great alternative to candy is apple marshmallow, which is easy to make at home.
This treat will also appeal to many adults who lead a healthy lifestyle, as it's made completely sugar-free. This dietary pastila will help prevent extra pounds.
This sweet treat is natural and doesn't require much effort to make. This simple recipe only requires apples and water.
Ingredients:
- apples -2 kg,
- water – 500 ml.
How to make apple pastila
Wash the apples and remove the core; peel the fruit if desired.
Cut the apples into pieces and place them in a pan of water. The water should cover the apples by about 1 centimeter.
Place the apples on the fire and let them boil under the lid.
Next, reduce the heat and continue simmering the fruit for 1-3 hours. Continue this process until the apples are cooked through and the water has evaporated.
We put the fruit in a colander to drain off excess liquid and at the same time let it cool.
Puree the apples using a blender or rub them through a fine metal sieve.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, optionally lightly grease it with butter, and spread the applesauce in an even layer. The layer should be no thicker than 5 millimeters.
Place the baking sheet in the oven and dry the apples at 100°C until they reach the desired firmness. This process will take approximately 4-5 hours.
We take out the pastila and turn it over, removing the parchment. Let it dry for another hour.
We check the readiness by pressing with our finger - the pastila should not stick, but at the same time it should not be overdried.
Once cooled, cut the product into portioned rectangles and roll them into tubes. If the tubes unravel, you can secure them with a string.
The natural and healthy treat is ready, you can try it!
Bon appétit everyone!
