How to make beetroot and apple salad
Grate the cooked beets and place them in a bowl convenient for tossing the salad. If the beets are watery after cooking, drain them slightly.
Wash the apple and cut it into thin strips, removing the core. If the peel is thin and undamaged, you don't need to peel it.
Add the chopped apple to the bowl with the beets. You can grate the apple, but that will release too much juice, which will affect the consistency of the final dish.
Grind the walnuts in a mortar; if desired, you can lightly roast them first.
Add nuts, mayonnaise, and spices to taste to the salad. Stir the salad several times.
Serve the finished dish immediately after cooking, garnished with any fresh herbs: green onions, dill, or parsley. Enjoy!
