Snow Queen Salad with Crab Sticks and Ham

Ingredients:
- onion – 1 pc.;
- chicken eggs – 3 pcs.;
- ham (or boiled or smoked sausage) – 100 g;
- hard cheese – 40 g;
- apple (sweet and sour) – 1 pc.;
- crab sticks – 100 g;
- walnuts (chopped into pieces) – 3 tbsp.;
- table salt – to taste + ¼ tsp in the onion marinade;
- mayonnaise;
- vinegar – 1 tbsp;
- water – 1 tbsp;
- sugar – ½ tsp.
How to make Snow Queen salad
Make the marinade by mixing equal parts vinegar and water, adding ¼ teaspoon of table salt and ½ teaspoon of sugar. Peel and finely chop the onion. Place the onion in the marinade and let it sit for 20 minutes.
Grate the cheese. Place the cheese as the first layer, then add the mayonnaise.
Separate the boiled eggs into yolks and whites. Place a layer of grated yolks on top of the cheese layer.
Next comes the squeezed pickled onions and mayonnaise.
Then we make a layer of chopped crab sticks and add mayonnaise again.
After this, we form a layer of grated apple and mayonnaise.
Next comes ham + mayonnaise.
Then chopped nuts and mayonnaise.
Finally, add the grated egg whites.
Let the salad soak for 30 minutes and serve.
