Sprat salad - delicious and filling
To make a quick and tasty salad, I often use canned goods. You can buy them in bulk for a month and store them in the pantry. When the opportunity arises, uncork and whip up a quick and easy salad. Sprats are ideal for this. They're delicious, with a smoky flavor and aroma.
We often make sandwiches with sprats, forgetting that they make wonderful salads. Sprats pair well with any vegetables, so feel free to experiment and create hearty dishes for your family and guests. We offer our version of a delicious layered sprat salad.
Once you have prepared all the ingredients on the list, you can start cooking, following the recipe with photos.
It will be delicious and filling. Every guest will appreciate this salad.
Ingredients:
- sprats – 150 grams;
- potatoes – 100 grams;
- onion, small – 1 pc.;
- carrot, small – 1 pc.;
- rice – 50 grams;
- mayonnaise – 100 grams;
- dill – 2 sprigs;
- salt – to taste.
How to make a delicious sprat salad
Pre-boil the potatoes, cool, and grate them on a medium grater. Place the potatoes as the first layer in the salad, lightly salt them, and drizzle with mayonnaise.
Dice the onion and add it to the salad. If desired, you can blanche the onion with boiling water to remove the bitterness. If you like spicy dishes, you can skip this step. Drizzle the onion with a little mayonnaise.
Chop the sprats: remove from the oil and mash with a fork into medium-sized pieces.
Grate the boiled carrots finely and add them to the salad as the next layer. Drizzle with a layer of mayonnaise.
Boil the rice in advance, rinse it, and add it to the salad. Season the rice with salt and drizzle with mayonnaise.
Sprinkle the salad with freshly chopped dill and place in the refrigerator to soak.
Serve after 20 minutes. The sprat salad will be moist, juicy, and delicious. The smoked sprats make this dish unforgettable. Enjoy!
