Drip irrigation system

Drip irrigation systems provide for the application of fertilizers. During the long transport path, the water's temperature becomes equal to the soil temperature. This has a beneficial effect on crops. However, such systems are susceptible to mechanical stress, and the tubes often become clogged. At home, you can set up a surface irrigation system. A metal rod is installed above the plants, from which perforated bottles are suspended. Tubes are connected to these rods, which deliver water to the roots of the crop.

Another method involves burying a container of water in the soil, 10-15 centimeters deep, upside down. Beforehand, holes are cut 3 cm from the bottom. Several such holes are made, as each crop requires a different amount of water. Commercially available options consist of a system of plastic pipes installed in the garden bed. Drip irrigation ensures uniform water distribution to all parts of the plant.

Solar powered lanterns

Solar-powered lanterns are often used in gardens to reduce electricity consumption. These devices contain LEDs, energy converters, and batteries. They also include mounting hardware and an on/off control. Sunlight charges the converter, which then changes the energy source. When darkness falls, the lanterns are powered by the battery.
