Turkish-style green beans with meat

Green beans can be prepared in a variety of ways. One option is this recipe for green beans with meat. This recipe is from Turkey. The original version uses pepper paste, but we can substitute it with regular tomato paste and it will be just as delicious.
You will need:
- green beans - about 1 kg;
- 2 medium tomatoes;
- vegetable oil (preferably olive oil);
- tomato paste - 1 tsp;
- beef - 200 g;
- 1 small onion;
- garlic (1-2 cloves);
- 2 small potatoes.
How to cook green beans with meat
Finely chop the meat (1x1 cm cubes) and fry in a deep saucepan over low heat.
Chop the onion.
Once the liquid has evaporated from the meat, pour in some good quality olive oil and stir the onion into it.
Peel the tomatoes and garlic.
Grind in a blender together with tomato paste.
Add the resulting puree to the pan with the meat; when the onion is fried until translucent, continue to fry for another 5 minutes, stirring.
Pour about 1 liter of water into the pan and keep it on low heat after boiling until the meat is ready (i.e. when it becomes soft).
Wash the green beans, cut off any tough ribs if necessary, and chop into small pieces.
Place it in the pan when the meat is already a little soft (half-cooked), cook until soft over moderate heat for 40-45 minutes.
A quarter of an hour before the green beans are ready, add potatoes (cut into 1x1 cm cubes) to the pan and add salt.
