Renowned worldwide, the Bonner Beste tomato is an excellent ingredient for fresh salads. It owes its origins to German breeders. It's already taking up space on Russian markets, awaiting the arrival of those who appreciate its flavor, ready to plant it in their gardens.
Characteristics and description
'Bonner Beste' can also be found under the names 'Best of Bon' or 'Bonner Best.' This mid-early variety is ready to produce ripe tomatoes between July 15th and 20th. It's indeterminate. The bushes are branched and tall, reaching 170-180 cm. In a greenhouse, they can reach over 2 meters. The leaves are standard, dark green.
The fruits resemble a small apple in appearance, weighing 100–150 g. Up to five tomatoes can ripen simultaneously on a single cluster. Ripe tomatoes are usually bright red, fleshy, and have a sweet taste. Given the local climate, they can be planted in any region. They perform best in a greenhouse or hothouse. The yield per square meter is 11–12.5 kg. They are versatile. The skin of the tomatoes is not damaged during canning.

Growing and care recommendations
The most suitable method for planting is through seedlings. To ensure proper development, select the seeds by soaking them in salt water for 6-7 minutes. Select only those that sink. Those that float are not suitable due to their hollowness.
To speed up seedling growth, various stimulants can be used. Folk remedies are also effective. For example, milk and honey can nourish seeds.
Any container will do for seedlings: boxes, pots, plastic cups, peat pots with drainage holes to remove excess water.
Preparing the ground
The ideal soil is one that's rich in nutrients. This is available ready-made, or you can make your own by adding peat, sawdust, and ash. To disinfect it, you can heat it for half an hour at 90–95 degrees Celsius.
Sowing
Seeds are usually sown in advance, namely two months before planting the seedlings in the ground. Next, water them well and cover them with plastic wrap, placing them in a sunny location. When the seedlings have two leaves, they are pricked out. Before transplanting, the seedlings require at least one additional feeding with nutrients and complex fertilizers.
We transplant seedlings
Choose a sunny spot on the plot, as tomatoes are sun-loving plants. Before planting, loosen the soil, removing dry weeds and irrigating with a hot potassium permanganate solution. Plant no more than three tomato plants per square meter. Leave 1 meter between rows and 50–55 cm between plants. Next, remember to tie up and remove side shoots, loosen the soil regularly, and water the roots. Fertilize 3–4 times per season.
Reviews
Radmila: I received these wonderful tomatoes from Berlin. I sowed the seeds for seedlings in March and transplanted them into the garden in June. I use them for canning. They're small and look beautiful in the jar, and they fit compactly. They're not available in our village, but I hope they become available soon. They taste simply wonderful, so juicy! You should definitely try them!
Venus: I ordered seeds online. The tomatoes are neat and compact. We even tried planting them on the balcony in a plastic bucket. They grew well, without any problems. They haven't had any diseases. The bushes have many branches, on which red tomatoes the size of small apples ripen. The children really loved them. I harvested 9.5 kg from one square meter. I didn't break even. I recommend them to everyone I know.
