The "Dachnik" variety is highly prized by gardeners for its high dry matter content—approximately 5.5%. This allows it to be used to produce high-quality tomato paste, juice, and other preserves.

 

The fruits are medium in weight—50 to 100 grams—and flattened and round in shape. They are ideal for both fresh consumption in salads and for pickling in containers for the winter. These tomatoes have a long shelf life: if stored properly, they can last up to three weeks.
