Advantages and disadvantages of the variety

  • early ripening;

  • beautiful appearance, which consists of bright orange dense skin of tomatoes;
    impeccable taste characteristics.
As you might guess, the popularity of the Dietary Zdorovyak variety can only grow in the future.

However, there are also disadvantages:

  1. Plants must be trained. Side shoots must be removed promptly.
  2. A healthy diet is susceptible to disease and parasites. For this reason, regular preventative maintenance is required.

Despite a couple of drawbacks, the Dietary Zdorovyak variety is ideal for growing tomatoes.

Rules for growing the variety

Dietary Zdorovyak tomatoes are grown from seedlings in late spring or early summer. The plants are transplanted into a greenhouse or garden beds. They are transplanted into their permanent location when they are about two months old. Seeds are sown around mid-March or a little later, depending on the regional climate.

To increase the chances of getting a good harvest, the seed material is disinfected with potassium permanganate, hardened, and soaked in a growth stimulator.

Seedlings require moderate watering, as excess soil moisture is unacceptable. Pricking out is done when the tomatoes have 2-3 leaves. Subsequent care includes watering, fertilizing, ventilation, and gradual acclimation to the new temperature conditions.

Advice! After transplanting the Dietary Healthy tomato variety to a permanent location, you need to take care of temperature, humidity, and watering.

  1. Ideally, the temperature should be between 20-25 degrees Celsius, with a nighttime temperature of 18 degrees Celsius. Temperature fluctuations can be dangerous.
  2. When tomatoes are grown in greenhouses, ventilation is required. On hot days, the greenhouse is left open.
  3. Sunlight is essential for a good harvest.
  4. Seedlings are watered only after they're over a week old. After that, water twice a week. However, tomatoes should be watered more frequently and more frequently during budding and flowering, and less during fruiting. It's best to water plants with extreme caution to protect the leaves from unwanted moisture. Use only room-temperature water, preferably settled beforehand.
  5. Fertilizers are added approximately three weeks after transplanting. This is done by alternating organic and mineral fertilizers. This approach and regular fertilization often contribute to the successful and healthy development of the Dietary Zdorovyak tomato variety. It's worth noting that the Dietary Zdorovyak variety responds very well to foliar fertilizers containing boric acid, iodine, or yeast.
  6. Tomato bush training is essential for achieving the desired yield. To achieve this, tomatoes must be grown with 1-2 stems. Any bush training must be carried out with extreme caution.
  7. Disease and pest prevention is essential, as Dietary Zdorovyak is a vulnerable variety. The most important thing is to use green manure and maintain crop rotation. Additionally, preventative measures using chemical or natural remedies are used to successfully combat various risks to tomatoes.
  8. Proper care of the Dietary Healthy tomato variety guarantees a continued high-quality harvest.
