The average tomato weight is 150-300 grams. The plant is trained into two stems.
This tomato is resistant to various diseases. This variety is ideal for fresh consumption and can also be added to various fresh salads or main courses. The average yield per plant reaches 5-8 kg.
Tomato Care Tips
- It's recommended to grow tomatoes after crops such as carrots, onions, or legumes. To ensure strong seedlings, you need to prepare the soil in which you'll plant the seeds. Directions: Mix one bucket of compost with one bucket of garden soil and add three cups of wood ash.
- To protect open-ground plants from various diseases, sprinkle a cup of wood ash into the holes before planting. It contains many microelements that will protect the root system from various diseases.
- Watering should be infrequent. Apply water every 3-5 days, at the roots.
- Constantly loosen the soil and destroy weeds, as they are one of the primary causes of various diseases.
- It's recommended to grow seedlings in pots or special cups. This will ensure the tomatoes have a well-developed root system, which will allow them to quickly establish themselves when transplanted into open ground.
- Despite the tomato's resistance, it can be susceptible to:
- Late blight can be controlled with the "Barrier" product. For every 10 liters, you need 3 tablespoons of the product. With generous spraying, the solution will cover 300 square meters.
- Colorado potato beetle. To control the insect, use: "Colorado," "Killer," and "Destroy." The dosage instructions are listed on the packaging.
- The cutworm. The chemical "Strela" will help kill this pest. To prepare the solution, you will need: 10 liters of water and 50 grams of the chemical.

Reviews:
Alla Sergeevna:
I would describe the "Wild Thyme" variety as a decent tomato. Let me explain why I say that. The tomatoes are large, but I didn't like how many of them had cracked. I liked the flavor. We ate them fresh. They're not suitable for canning, as the fruits are very large. Canning them whole in jars is impossible, unless you pickle them in a wooden barrel. They're great for salads and various dishes.
Vasily Fedorovich:
Last year, I planted five "Wild Thyme" tomato plants. They have an unusual coloring, both inside and out. I loved their sweet flavor. They don't require much care. During the growing season, I sprayed them for cutworms and Colorado potato beetles. I'm glad I had the chance to grow this rare tomato variety in my garden.
