Rules for growing the variety

The Caspian Pink variety is best grown in a greenhouse, following standard agricultural practices.

At the very first stage, sow the seeds in 5-7 centimeter-high trays. The soil should be rich in nutrients, consisting of peat, humus, and turf. The mixture is moistened with river sand, wood ash, and superphosphate. If desired, special soil mixtures can be used without additional fertilizer. In approximately 7-10 days, strong tomato seedlings should emerge, ready for transplanting to their permanent location.

A mandatory step in growing tomato seedlings is picking, which is usually done 7-10 days after germination. This procedure should only be performed when transplanting tomatoes with a strong root system. Transplanting to a permanent location is possible later, but it's recommended to wait 50-60 days.

It's best to prepare the greenhouse beds approximately 1.5 weeks after planting the seedlings. Loosen the soil, remove weeds, and add compost. If the soil is poor, you can add a cup of charcoal and 6-8 kilograms of compost per square meter. In any case, it's best to prepare the soil well in advance to ensure successful preparation of the area intended for growing tomatoes in the greenhouse.

Tomato seedlings should be planted in their permanent location only in warm soil and not too deeply to ensure they take root. However, it's not advisable to overdo it with adding manure, urea, or chicken manure, as this can result in green tops instead of juicy tomatoes.

Planting should be done in cloudy weather or in the evening to protect the vegetable crop from excessive sun. It is recommended to plant tomatoes at an optimal distance from each other, as they should not become too dense.

In the future, it is necessary to properly care for the Caspian Pink tomato variety:

  1. Watering. Experienced gardeners recommend waiting up to ten days before watering. Afterward, you can water tomatoes every four to five days. Before flowering, 4-5 liters per square meter will be needed; during flowering, 10-13 liters. It's best to water the roots in the morning.
  2. Ventilation of the greenhouse. It's best to maintain a temperature of 18-20 degrees Celsius on a cloudy day and 24-26 degrees Celsius on a sunny day. Nighttime temperatures can drop to 15-16 degrees Celsius.
  3. Garter Pruning becomes mandatory, and can be done 3-4 days after planting the tomato plant. For this purpose, trellises are used to strengthen the tomato plants.
  4. Pinching out the side shoots is essential. It is advisable to remove small stepsons to prevent injury to the tomato bush.
  5. Top dressing. It's best to apply the first fertilizer 1.5–2 weeks after planting tomatoes. Use a tablespoon of nitrophoska and 500 milliliters of liquid mullein per 10 liters of water. Pour a liter of the mixture under the plant. The second feeding will be needed after 10 days. A total of 3–4 feedings are required per season.

Comprehensive care for Caspian Pink tomatoes turns out to be truly important.
