"Kazachka" is an excellent variety developed by domestic breeders. It is distinguished by the unusual coloring of its ripe fruits. It gets its name from the long clusters that resemble a girl's braid.
Description
This mid-season variety has a growing season of 120-125 days. It is recommended to plant seedlings in a greenhouse. The bushes are indermant and can reach up to two meters in height. It has a very flexible, twining stem and large foliage. When the plant is young, its leaves are light green, but with age, their color changes, becoming dark green.
The fruits grow in long, even clusters, and are round or barrel-shaped. The tomatoes are dark cherry-colored, uniform in appearance, and weigh between 35 and 60 grams. The skin is thin, the flesh is juicy, and the many-seeded flesh has a pleasant aroma typical of tomatoes. The yield is quite good, with a single plant yielding up to 2 kg of delicious fruit.
This variety is more of a salad tomato, as it is consumed primarily fresh. It is especially beneficial for men. It is suitable for making tomato juice and various sauces. Canning whole tomatoes is not recommended, as the thin skin is prone to cracking.
Advantages
- Uniform ripening of fruits.
- Attractive presentation.
- Excellent taste.
- Good harvest.
- High seed germination rates.

Flaws
- Requires garters and pinching.
- You cannot preserve whole fruits.
- The variety is not resistant to diseases.
Sowing seeds
Sowing is carried out 60-65 days before transplanting into a greenhouse or garden bed. To grow strong and resilient seedlings, it's essential to plant only proven, high-quality seeds; this variety has an excellent germination rate of 95%. Before planting, select small, empty seeds. Viable seeds require disinfection; this is a simple procedure: soak the seeds in a potassium permanganate solution for 20 minutes and then rinse thoroughly. To speed up germination, treat them with a special stimulator; there are many available, and suitable ones can be purchased at a gardening store.
Before planting, the soil is also irrigated with a hot solution of potassium permanganate. Before sowing, make small furrows in the soil, approximately 1.5 cm deep. Place the seeds in these furrows, sprinkle them with soil and sand through a sieve, and moisten with a spray bottle. Until the seedlings emerge, place the container in a warm, dark place, covered with plastic wrap.
As soon as the sprouts emerge, remove the covering. Water the seedlings with warm water and provide light; the temperature should be 18°C (64°F) at night and 20°C (68°F) at night.
Fertilize the plants 2-3 times before replanting, using a special liquid fertilizer for seedlings. Pricking out is done when the plants have 2-3 leaves. Watering is necessary once every five days. To help the plants adapt more quickly to their new location, harden them off a week before planting.
Transfer
In the temperate climate zone, it's recommended to grow "Kazachka" under cover; in warmer southern climates, it can be planted in beds. Plants are planted at approximately 60 days of age, taking into account their height and the presence of a single flower cluster. Seedlings should be at least 27 centimeters tall. Prepare the soil in advance, preferably adding fertilizer in the fall. The planting pattern for the bushes is 70 x 40 cm, per 1 m.2 4 bushes are planted.
When replanting, the plant's roots can be dipped in Fitosporin or watered with it; this will protect the seedlings from fungal diseases.
Because the bushes are tall, they need to be tied to a support, forming them into 1-2 stems. Water regularly with warm water at 18°C (65°F). Drip irrigation is ideal. Afterward, be sure to loosen the soil to ensure adequate oxygen supply to the root system. To improve fruit set, it's recommended to use specially developed stimulants.
You can also mulch the soil; this will prevent weeds and help retain moisture. Fertilize the bushes three times per season: the first two weeks after transplanting, and the next two times, separated by a month.
Conclusion
The "Kazachka" variety boasts excellent varietal qualities, but also requires labor-intensive care. Even children will love these unique cherries thanks to their appearance and sweet flavor.

This year, my mother bought "Kazachka" seeds, as a neighbor was raving about her bountiful harvest. We planted the seeds in March, and the first tomatoes began to ripen around the beginning of August. They have excellent flavor, are attractive to look at, and make a great addition to any salad. They require care, but generally, like all tomatoes, they require the same amount of maintenance. We preserved the tomato juice for the winter, and it turned out very tasty and thick.

I'm already looking forward to the planting season. Last year I tried planting a variety called "Kazachka," which turned out to be excellent. The harvest was excellent, the tomatoes were delicious, and I'm very happy. I'll recommend them to everyone I know. The only thing is, in our climate, they need to be planted in a greenhouse, and we only have one, so I'll probably have to plant a second one.
