When choosing a ready-made soil, it's best to opt for a succulent mix. However, if this isn't available, you can make your own. To do this, mix 4 parts turf, 2 parts leaf mold, and 1 part each of peat and sand. To ensure the soil is loose, add birch charcoal.

After preparing the soil, it is necessary to:

pour hot water or a solution of potassium permanganate over it;
Place drainage material at the bottom of the pot;
pour a small layer of soil onto the drainage;
place the plant with a lump of soil in a new container;
compact the soil around the stem.
