Rules for caring for a hedge

ShrubsThe shrubs used in hedges are generally low-maintenance and don't require any special care, other than pruning. However, to achieve a high-quality hedge, the shrubs must be planted fairly closely together. This distance is often no more than 30 cm, but in some cases it can be as close as 1 meter.

With this planting scheme, additional fertilizing is necessary. The best option is to use ready-made mineral fertilizers.

Mulch is used as a fertilizer. Mulching with plant waste (sawdust, grass clippings, straw, last year's leaves, pine needles) provides additional protection against soil drying out, and as the mulch decomposes, nutrients are released.

Important!
Hedges are generally disease-resistant and undemanding of natural conditions. If signs of disease appear, pay attention to the frequency of watering and fertilizing. It may be necessary to reduce the frequency of watering and fertilizing.

A hedge planted in the right place will retain its appearance for up to 3000 years.
