Containers and soil for onions

• water the onions daily, preventing the top layer of soil from drying out;
• The plantings are fed with a solution of 40 g superphosphate; 20 g of ammonium nitrate and potassium chloride (all ingredients are dissolved in 10 liters of water);
• after a month, the seedlings are transplanted into separate containers (at least 4 cm in diameter) and fed with a solution of mullein or mineral compounds;
• 2 weeks before planting the seedlings in open ground, they are hardened off (taken outside every day and left for 2 hours).

Onions are planted in open ground or a greenhouse 50-80 days after germination. Until then, it's recommended to trim the tops periodically (when they reach a height of over 15 cm).
