However, the yield per square meter is only 9 kilograms.

Budenovka

Pink Elephant

An interesting name that's definitely worth remembering, as it's one of the best varieties for polycarbonate greenhouses. It produces an excellent harvest, producing large, round, pink fruits with incredible flavor. Easy to care for, it's perfect for inexperienced gardeners. It can be grown in all regions of the country, and yields eight kilograms per square meter.

Blagovest F1

A high-yielding hybrid, yielding up to 17 kilograms of fruit per square meter. It was first introduced in 1996 and is well known to our gardeners. The bush will grow tall, and the hybrid ripens early. It forms a single stem up to one and a half meters tall and has no side shoots. The fruits are medium-sized, weighing 100 grams. Tomatoes of this variety are excellent for canning, among other things.

The Pink Mikado

This variety isn't considered a high-yield variety, but the fruits are very juicy and delicious. The tomatoes are quite large, up to 260 grams, round, and a rich pink color. They're an ideal salad tomato that thrives in a greenhouse. Moreover, the bush grows up to two meters tall and doesn't produce side shoots. You can harvest about six kilograms of tomatoes per square meter.

Today, breeders strive to adapt each hybrid variety to specific growing conditions and climate. Naturally, the characteristics of a variety grown in the South will differ from those grown in the North.

Southern tomato varieties must be protected from the scorching sun. Because of this, plants in these regions develop more slowly. Northern tomatoes, on the other hand, thrive in short summers. They need to grow quickly, produce a crop, and turn red. Therefore, northern tomatoes typically have a smaller foliage area, and their leaves are positioned so as not to obscure the ripening fruit.
